Nadia is a mother in long-term recovery with extensive personal and professional experience supporting individuals and families.
She holds a bachelor’s in psychology from Towson University (2012) and a master’s in social work from the University of Maryland (2019), and uses a client-centered approach with evidence-based practices like CBT while also mentoring future therapists as a clinical supervisor.
Her work focuses on addiction recovery, adult children of alcoholics, motherhood, life transitions, and codependency, with a commitment to providing a safe, non-judgmental space for growth and healing.
Experience:
Nadia has extensive experience in both personal recovery and professional social work. Professionally, she has held roles as a court liaison, clinical supervisor, outpatient therapist, and school social worker, giving her a broad perspective on supporting individuals and families in diverse settings.
She also mentors future therapists toward licensure and has a strong background in evidence-based practices like CBT, Systems Theory, and Strengths-Based approaches, combining hands-on clinical expertise with leadership and guidance experience.
Unique Approach:
Nadia’s unique approach is client-centered and strengths-based, meaning she focuses on each client’s individual experiences, existing strengths, and personal goals rather than using a one-size-fits-all method. She integrates evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Systems Theory, and the Strengths-Based Approach to help clients understand how their thoughts, relationships, and environments influence their healing and growth.
Her perspective is also shaped by her lived experience in long-term recovery and her work across multiple settings (courts, schools, therapy, and supervision), which allows her to provide empathetic, practical support in a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel empowered to explore change.
