EMDR for PTSD

When the past still feels present.

WE’RE HERE TO HELP…

You want your nervous system to feel calmer and more settled.

Trauma can leave you feeling stuck — in painful memories, intense emotions, or patterns that don’t seem to make sense.

When something overwhelming happens, your brain can store it in a way that keeps it feeling present, even years later.

EMDR is recognized as a first-line treatment by:

✔︎ American Psychological Association (APA)

✔︎ World Health Organization (WHO)

✔︎ U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs & Department of Defense (VA/DoD)

✔︎ International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS)

EMDR for PTSD in Westminster, Maryland

We provide EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) in Westminster, MD and virtual EMDR therapy throughout Maryland for adults seeking support with trauma and fear-based responses.

EMDR is a structured therapy approach that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they no longer feel as overwhelming.

During EMDR, clients briefly focus on aspects of a difficult memory while engaging in guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation. This process supports the brain in reducing the emotional intensity connected to the memory.

EMDR can be effectively provided in person or through telehealth, depending on your preference and clinical needs.

Our focus is on helping you move forward without feeling like you’re carrying the past in your body.

Complete the intake form so we can learn more about your experiences and what kind of support you’re seeking.

CLICK HERE TO COMPLETE INTAKE FORM.

TWO

Assessment and preparation.

Your clinician will first help you build grounding tools and emotional stability before beginning trauma processing work.

THREE

Processing and integration.

Through EMDR and talk therapy, you’ll work through stored experiences at a pace that feels safe and appropriate, adjusting your treatment plan as needed.
Sessions are available in person in Westminster, MD or virtually across Maryland.

EMDR doesn’t require you to retell every part of your story.

We help your brain process what’s been stuck so it no longer shows up as intrusive thoughts, triggers, or emotional overwhelm.

There is a way to move forward without feeling overwhelmed.
